On 28th January 1929 there was a big storm and it blew four boats in along the Glinsk shore. Their names were The Lode Star, The Twilight Star, The Killiney Lass, The St. Nicholas. The boat called St. Nicholas blew over from Mevagh and she was dashed about among the rocks on this side till she got wrecked. The owner of her never came to look for her for a long time and she lay where the storm left her. One day the Sergeant and the owner of the boat came to this side and they landed in a field where a man was harrowing. The Sergeant asked this man a lot of questions about the boat and he said he would take the price of the boat from the people of Glinsk but he did not accomplish this.
