We have a churn at home. It is three feet high two feet wide at the top and two feet six inches at the bottom. The sides are round. It is seven years old. The various parts of the churn are:- the lid, churn-dash and claibin. There is no mark in the sides or bottom of the churn. My mother and sisters make the churning. Strangers who come in always take the churning because no butter would come in the milk if they did not churn a while. The churning takes about half an hour. The churning is done by hand and the churn-dash is always moved upwards and downwards. When the butter is made there is a piece of iron put under it. Then it is given a rollingLinda Nilson
