Once upon a time there was a tailor living near Loughmask, who was not able to walk. Every night the neighbouring people came in to see him. One night they told him that there was a ghost to be seen in the grave -yard every night. "I would not believe a word of it," said the tailor, "but if I got any one to leave me there some night I promise that i would stay there until morning." "I will carry you to the graveyard on my back," said one of them. "Very well," said the tailor, "but be sure to come to bring me home in the morning." The man put him on his back and brought him to the graveyard. When he was going near the graveyard a voice said, "Is he fat?" The man said, "Fat or not here he is for you," and off he went home, but when he came to meet the tailor's house the tailor was at home before him, although he was never able to walk a step before.
