In our district there is palm inside the church on palm Sunday. Every person takes a bit of palm and the priest blesses it. The people put some of it in the kitchen and the rest of it in the rooms. When the next palm Sunday comes the old palm in burnt Some people would not like to throw out palm.
I never heard of any herbs or branches to be hung in the out-houses or in any other place. This was told to me by my grandmother. Mrs Stephens,
Rathduff,
Balla,
Co. Mayo.
