    Ballycogley Castle
    Built in the Norman
    Period by the Waddings,
    one of the most illustrious
    of all the old Wexford
    families. If learning and
    scholarship were appreciated
    in Ireland at present as in
    the past, Ballycogley Castle
    would be a place of
    pilgrimage known and loved
    by all who wish to honour
    their native land and the
    memory of her illustrious sons.
    The ancient castle, still
    in fine preservation, is rather
    larger than most of those
    of the same period, the
    windows and loopholes being
