  1. In our locality nearly all ancient games are alive and all the toys are made as in olden days.
    The most common toys made are, Paper Balls, Kites, Stilts, "Cocals" Butterfly Nets, Elder-berry Guns, Elder-berry Water Pistols, Snares, "Dulls" and "Gaistes". Games are many, such as Football, Hurling, and in the harvest playing Falachan Crúach, about the hay and corn stacks. Skittles and Pitching Buttons and Skidding Slates on the river, along with playing quoits and jack-stones are common.
