  1. I live in the townland of Kilcorney. The reason it was called Kilcorney is there was a church in it. My house is a thatched house. Thatch is the commonest covering for a house. There are three houses in my townland. There was five houses in it long ago, the name of it was Markems and the people died and the roof was taken off it. The walls are in it. There were three slated houses and two thatched ones in it. There are more slated than thatched houses in my district.
