Special days and customs.
9th February 1938.
There are special days in the year in which old Irish customs are observed. One of the most important is May Eve.On this day the country people shake holy water on everything away the "pishógs"because on May Eve night the "pishóg women" are supposed to be milking cows and burying eggs and meat in gardens. These practices are supposed to take away the produce from the owner and give it to the woman
