    A old hedge school.
    4th December, 1937.
    In olden times there was a hedge school situated here a Knockjames Church just at the back of where the letter box now stands.Mr. Muldoon taught there and it was customary for him to lodge at the neighbours houses and to spend a fortnight alternativly at each house.On the way home from school as the children ran ahead he often used to callout "take care of my butter and cake lads".At the school
