Marriages
There is a special time appointed for marriages in this country, known as shrove. The people had many old customs. Some liked to see snow falling, while others liked to see the sunshine. They had several signs for good and bad luck on the marriage day. If the car in which the bride and bridegroom were, broke down it would be considered very unlucky. The guests considered it lucky to fight and break something at the wedding. In some places the bride had to be taken home on horseback.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
