  1. Long ago people did not wear any shoes, until they were grown up. They made the shoes from skins of animals. They just skinned a dog or some other animal and they tied up the skin around their legs.
    When shoes first came out they were made of timber. These shoes were called clogs. Some people in Ireland wear clogs yet. The people now wear shoes made from leather. When leather shoes came out first it was the shoemakers that made them all, but when boot factories were first made the people bought their shoes,
