  1. There are not many fairs held near this district. Scariff is the nearest monthly fair. A fair is held in O'Callaghan Mills and in Broadford only once a year. In Scariff there are two fairs every month a cattle fair and a bonham fair. There is a fair- green in Scariff, up near the market house. Farmers and cattle-dealers are the usual people who attend the fair. At a cattle-fair cattle, sheep and horses are sometimes bought and sold. At a bonham fair bonhams are only
