  1. Long ago people had no boots or shoes. The people wore no boots or shoes until they were over ten years of age. When people were going to bed at night they used to wash their feet in cold and hot water mixed together. The people used to have iry heels from the cold and hard weather, especially in the month of March for ire and gags. When the people had sore feet they used to wash them three times a day. When the people would get a pair of boots, they used to last them
