When he landed, Paddy was in bed, and he told him to go out and sleep under Rosey's head. When the farmer got up in the morning the piper was gone, and he saw the legs of the corpse.
He thought the cow had eaten the piper. He took the cow to the fair to sell her. When he went to the fair, he saw the piper playing his pipes, so he took his cow home again.
