  1. We have potatoes grown at home. Potatoes are cut into parts, before being sown this is called cutting seed. They are sown in drills and ridges. They are sown in Spring. Some people sow the potatoes with a plough others with a spade. When setting the potatoes the people help one another. In 1846-47 the potatoes failed, then a famine came on the land.
