    The name of my home district is Moinvoir. It is in the parish of Duagh. There are about twelve families in that townland, and about fifty people living in the townland also. The family name most common is Kirby, because there are three families of them in the townland. Some of them have thatched houses, and more of them have slated houses.
    Moinvoir means a big sod.
