- There was once a woman who lived where Turin Castle now stands. She was supposed to have an evil eye. She was living in a little thatched house all by herself. Everyone she saw during her life was supposed to die in a months time. This old woman only saw three people all her life and she lived till she was one hundred and fourteen years of age. Every morning she used to leave a(r) candle lighting on the window sill until mid-day. She had an old horse on which she used to ride. She had no land to feed him. Every evening she laid across a big drain which divided her house and her neighbors land. The horse used to walk across on her back and grazed there peacefully every night.
