  1. Herbs and weeds grow plentifully in some lands. People long ago set more value in these herbs than the people nowadays.
    There are some herbs of great value and power such as (go) ground ivy, groundsel, foxglove, and the bark of the haw-thorn tree. The hazel (tl) tree has many virtues. It is sacred and powerful against devils' wiles, and has secret properties known only to the wise.
