  1. Long ago the people used eat three meals in the day. They were the breakfast, dinner and supper. The breakfast used be eaten about eight o'clock in the morning, the dinner at twelve o'clock and the supper at six o'clock in the evening. The people used work for about an hour every morning before eating. For the breakfast home-made bread and skimmed milk were used. For dinner and supper potatoes were used. Long ago it was a custom to have the table in the centre of the floor, and they used always spread a white cloth on the table and spill the potatoes out on the cloth. The different kinds of bread that were eaten were:- Whole Wheaten bread, Whole Rye bread and Whole Oaten bread. They had a hand quern to grind their own
