  1. Long ago there was a house in our district. I don't remember any one living in it because I was too young. A large black hare used sleep in one of the corners of one of the rooms. He was very tame.
    People were afraid to hunt or shoot him. An old man who spent all his life fowling and hunting said he would shoot the hare the next day. So off he went to the house but when he got the hare stood up on his hind legs and the man got afraid and ran for home. Maybe it was an ordinary hare but
