    The way they used to play hurling before. They would go to a very big field and if two townlands were playing that would be near each other they used to go to a boundry field between them and the team that would carry the ball to their townland and keep it there would win the match. There were many football matches played in James Corridans Shed Field owned at that time by Dr O Holloran. This is the way the goals were made. They used put down (to) two (strait) straight sticks (and put) and put another stick at the side of them one of them for the points an the other for the goals.
