- The last huge flood was on the 10 of June 1926. It was raining for three days and three nights before it. The river Feale overflowed its banks. It broke the banks in many places and went into our house and to Dick Sheehy's and into all the houses around. It carried a lot of hay and turf, cows, sheep, from all our lands.
The last big snowfall covered the whole place. It was about four feet in height. It lasted for three days and three nights and all the animals perished that were out in it.
