- In olden times the people used only eat three meals a day. Their breakfast at six o'clock, their dinner at twelve and their supper at eight. Potatoes and buttermilk they had for the three meals and some of them potatoes and skimmed milk. The table was put in the middle of the house if the family was large and all the potatoes put on it. They used work for some time before their breakfast. Paka was the bread they used. It was made of Indian meal and water. At Easter sunday they used eat a great number of eggs. They used fresh meat and salted fish. They used timber(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
