At the present day children go without shoes in the summer.
Others don't wear any boots at all. The people would not leave you wash your feet in front of the fire, they say that you would have bad luck for two years. When our boots require repairs our father or ourselves repair them. There was never a shoemaker in this district.
Clogs were usually worn in former times. They were not made locally(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
