- Weathers' well is between Abbeydorney and Causeway. It is how it got its name. There is a mass rock there. One time the priest was saying mass there.
The English got an account about him and in a moment were in the midst of the whole congregation. They broke and scattered everything in the altar. One day when he was celebrating mass a pack of blood-hounds came on and three weathers from the well and ran towards the sea. The hounds ran after them and the priest and people were saved from them.
