    The weather at present is very suitable for the drawing home of the turf. The farmers usually cut the turf in March and leave it in the bog to dry until October.
    When drawing home the turf most of the people draw it out on the side of the road because the bog is very soft and therefore no animal could travel it. When we are drawing home our turf we carry the donkey into the bog and fill the rail there.
    When the turf is drawn home we make a rick of it beside the house and thatch it with rushes for the winter for fear the rain would get into it.
