  1. There are many fairy forts to be found in our school district. They are generally called forts around here.
    One is to be found in the town land of Gurtacrissane, and two more in the town-land of Ballyhorgan. All the forts are circular, a ditch is surrounding the fort in Gurtacrissane, it is about three feet high. There are white-thorn bushes grown in the ditch. A circle of stones is surrounding one of the forts in Ballyhorgan.
    There is a hole in the middle of all the forts but the earth has fallen into them now. No person ever went
