    Local Cures
    In former times the people use to cure their ailments by some animals and by herbs in the field.
    A toothache was cured by getting a frog and rubbing the head of him on your tooth. There was also another cure for a toothache to get a dead persons head in the graveyard and get a tooth of it and rub it on the sore tooth.
    The Whooping Cough was cured by an old saying. If you met a new man with a white horse is a cure for the whooping cough and it is also said the food left by ferret is a cure for the whooping cough.
    People used to visit Holy Wells. One well wad call Tobair na Súl and if they had sore eyes they used to wash their eyes in the
