- Local Place Names 22-3-1938The names of some of the files in my farm at home are:- "The High Field", "The cealagh", "The Fort Field", "The Páircín", "Casey's Field" and the "Firy Hill".The "High Field" got it's name because it is high ground. "The cealagh" got it's name because it is a low soft field. "The Fort Field" got it's name from a fort which is at the end of it. The "Páircín" is a small field and that is the reason it is called "Páircín". "Casey's Field" got it's name from a family by the name of Casey who were living at the end of it, some years ago. "The Firy Hill" got it's name from a little hill which is on the field and there are firze growing on it.There are two streams flowing(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
