    Old Customs
    There were a great many customs long ago which are not in use now. Long ago boxty bread was made very frequently and it is not used now. Flax, was a crop that was sowed very much long ago and when it was ripe they pulled it and made linen out of it themselves. People had a spinning wheel in nearly every house long ago.
    When the sheep were shorn the people kept some of the wool and spun it and knitted jumpers and socks and a great many other things which they wanted themselves at home.
