- My TownlandThe name of my townland is Loughenbrine and there are four families living in it namely: Connor's, Costello's, Moylan's and Tobins and there are thirty people in the townland. About twenty or twenty five years ago the population was greater than at present, because there are three ruins still to be seen which belonged to the townland of Loughenbrine. The names of those houses were, Buttlers, Costello's and Casey's and the people that were living in them are living in new houses now. All the houses in the townland are one storey thatched houses and they are all built almost a hundred years. The houses in the townland are situated about half a mile in from the road.
