  1. A school day in 1938.
    I am in fourth class. I go to Lankill school. I am in school at twenty five minutes to ten every morning. School work begins at ten o'clock. the first half-hour we have Irish and sometimes Composition. When we have composition the master puts help for it on the black-board. The second half-hour we write this composition on our school copies. After this we have English reading on the floor, and after that sums. Then comes the Catechism followed by lunch time. On coming in from play we start English composition, after which comes Arithmetic. We have sewing on
