  1. Aughagower Fair Thirty years ago.
    About thirty years ago the fair in Aughagower used to be very large. There used to be cattle and sheep out as far as the top of Drum-hill and out the other roads so that it was almost impossible to get in to Aughagower.
    The prices were very bad.You would only get about five pounds for a two or three year old calf and you would get about ten shillings for a week old calf. Sheep were also very cheap. You would only get about nine shillings for a sheep.
    After the fair would be over the people would gather in the fairgreen to amuse
