- Bothar na Mine was made in the days of the famine. It got its name from the yellow meal that the men used to get when making that road. Fourteen or fifteen men made the road. Meal they got as payment instead of money. There was a man in Knappa that gave round the meal. In the evening every one would go over to him for their meal. About a stone of meal he would give them. They used ot ge tit every evening until the work was finished. After that the road was called(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
