    There was a man in Ballinlough some time ago. He went out one evening to bring in his horse. He searched all his fields for his horse and could not find him until he was tired out and then he got him when it was very dark. He caught him and put the bridle on him and brought him to a wall until he would go riding on him. At length he went on his back. The horse made a few springs and got tangled in the reins. Before the man knew where he was himself and the horse were in the lake. Were he not a good swimmer he
