- People say that Ballyburke School is one of the oldest school in this part of the country. It was opened in the year 1849. It is sayed that it was first used as a chapel. At night people were afraid to pass by it. They say that a light was seening (it) in it for may years. After a few years it was knocked & built into a school. When one of the men was lifting the floor he found a persons head. The old people say that priests were buried there. He told the priest about it & he ordered(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
