In the Parish of Parteen there are not many stories told about Fairy Folk but there is one told about a fort in Quinpool. The remains of it are only their now and seven trees around it . In olden times people lived in it and had to go to their neighbours to sleep every night to sleep because their was so much noise and crying heard there that they could not sleep.
It is also said now that there was often a white horse seen there and people say that a king lived their long ago.
A Glenagros a man named Patrick Punch ploughed a fort one night at dusk a hare was seen coming from the stable next morning his horse was dead and in a few weeks he died himself.
