In the County Limerick about seventy years ago a little child with a book in her hand was coming from school and when she was going in the door home she got sick or got some kind of a slap on the back and was doing no good and the book also disappeared and could not be found. The mother blamed the servant girl for giving her a stroke. The mother made up her mind to bring her to Biddy Early. The priest at the time cursed anybody that would go to Biddy Early or those who would show where she lived. The County Limerick woman came as far as Quin.A labouring fellow drove her to Biddy Early's house on a sick car.
