  1. The people long ago made their own Baskets from ozier rods. They would sit out the open air, and stick the rods in the ground in the shape of a basket and they would weave the ozier rods in and out through those stuck in the ground. When they were near the top they made two handles and pulled up the basket and wove the bottom on to it. Paddy Markham Lismaolbreeda was a great maker.

  2. The candles long ago were got from fat of sheep which was called tallow. The tallow was put into tin moulds and a wick was put up through the middle of the mould and was poured in around it. Then they were put on a window sill to cool.
