1. There is an old castle beside Clooney Lake. A chief named O'Grady lived there. He with other local chiefs attacked the English army going to the siege of Limerick.
2. There is a cilleen on Knocknapreachán Hill, called Tobercile. Here unbaptised children were buried long ago.
3. There is another cilleen in Fomerla and also one in Kilvoydane.
4. In this place also are many large flat stones, which are supposed to mark the graves of some chief or famous man.
