  1. A long time ago a man named Seán Ryan lived near Ennis. One night he heard a great noise in a field at the back of his house where he had some cattle. Going out he saw a crowd of men riding. ONe of them asked him to with them. Sean agreed. The man struck one of the cattle in the field with a rod. At once it changed into a beautifull horse. The men then told Seán that they were going to Leinster for gold that was buried there. Then they all rode towards the Shannon. On the way one of the men told Sean that he was to not speak until they returned again. After some time they came to the Shannon. All leaped across. Seán's horse jumped so well that he said "Bravo." Then he remembered the warning not to speak.
