On Xmas Eve people don't lock their doors, because they say that if any woman with a baby comes she may go in. It is an old saying that a "green Christmas signifies a fat churchyard" That means that there will a lot of people die. Some people believe that if a red haired woman comes into their house during Christmas, that she will bring bad luck. The people of this district go on "cuaird" to their neighbours(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
