- Farewell! my friends we are separated
I must be silent till life will drop
I'm still lamenting my fond relations
And old aquaintances at the Sporting Gap
These beauteous mansions. and fine plantations
Where we often paced it in social bands
They are now resorts for the rooks and rovers
And their worthy owners in foreign lands.

O'Gonnelloe's fame, it was once recorded a pleasant garden where nature smiled
Where dukes and earls, and other sportsmen
For recreation did sport awhile.
It is surrounded by woods and waters.
A Luxurious garden in Erin's Isle
Like unto Egypt is often likened
When irrigated by the rapid Nile.
For this earthly paradise I'm still bemourning
The tongue of Homer could not dictate.
The pain I feel of its annihilation
I'm yet unable to explicate

All nature's laws are reversed completely
And friendship faded beyond my skill(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
