Sam says that his grandfather was an expert at wicker-work and taught this trade in an institution for the blind. He thinks his grand-father came from Germany. He used to drink a health to Prussia and to Hanovaria. He lived in Tullylurkin on a small farm which came into the possession of the Bell family.
