    2. The mumps.
A donkey's whiskers were put on the person who had the mumps. The person was then led by the reins into cnó na muc three times and while doing so the following words were said:-
    "Mucna mucna cugat an leicne
    Leicne, leicne cugat na mucna"
I was believed that the mumps were then given to the pigs and the person would get better.
    3. Cure of whooping cough.
A frog was pointed nine times to the persons mouth and each time the words:- "In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost" were said. This was done three days in succession. The frog was then left on a bush to die. While it was dying the person would be getting better.
