There is a field in front of our house called "Carthy's garden". There is another field at the east of this field and it is called "The Rods". South of these two is a field called "The Field of the Lake". North of the house is a field called "The Islands Field". There is a field east of the house called "The Paddock". South east of our house is a field called "The Clover Field".

The people long ago used to make candles. This is how they used to make them. The tallow used to be melted, put into a mould, and then a thread put through it.
Baskets used to be made with rods.
Sugans are made with straw or hay and woven with a twisting-bow.
A rick of hay is thatched with rushes.
