    A Castle -
    "The White Knight"
    There is another old castle about an English mile to the North West of Kilbehenny village in the farm of William Noonan. It is built on a high slope over-looking the Pound river on the road to Limerick.
    Long ago it was owned by Maurice Gillon, more commonly known as the White Knight. It is said that he fought with King Edward of England against the people of Scotland. One day while on the battle-field he received a wound and a Scotch princess bound it with a white cloth. When the King saw him he bestowed on him the title of the White Knight.
