Folklore
Denis Roche has a field at Raheen called "the Coole". About seventy years ago there were thirty houses in that field and the old people used to call it "the village."
Chaters was the Land-lord at that time. After collecting the rent from the tenants he set out one Christmas morning and evicted them all and then knocked the houses.
Chaters lived in Cahir where the Munster and Leinster Bank now is.
