Cures for a toothache: - One very old cure for a toothache is to take a smoke of a pipe and to keep the smoke in the mouth as long as one is able then to let it out and the pain was supposed to be gone. Another was to paint the gum around the aching tooth with Iodine and pepper was also used to cure a toothache.
Milk after a Ferret:- The milk which a ferret would leave after him was supposed to cure the Flu and yellow-jaundice.
Holy Well Cures:- There is a Holy well in a field situated about three miles from Nenagh called St. Curlans Well at a certain time of the year it is supposed to cure wounds and sore feet and other diseases by its water
