6. Address:- 32 Summerhill, Nenagh.The wood for wheels is got in Beechwood, Kilboy, and sometimes in Templemore or other places where there are fine big woods.
This wood is cut into small blocks about one and a half feet long and six inches wide. It is shaped at the ends, by a machine, into the form of the wheel and so on till you have the whole circle of the wheel finished. Then these blocks are thatched on together with a band of iron.
After all this is complete, more wood is taken and shaped into a very straight block. As many blocks as you like may be required according to the size of the wheel, these are called spokes.
